Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of LevelKana (the "Service"), operated by BBDF Consulting LTD ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. The Service

LevelKana provides interactive Japanese-language learning content built around videogames, manga, and other media. We may update, add, or remove features at any time.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when registering and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the Service.

3. Subscriptions and Billing

BBDF Consulting LTD is the merchant of record for purchases on LevelKana. Paid plans are billed in advance and processed by our payment provider, Stripe, which also calculates applicable VAT and sales tax via Stripe Tax. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your billing settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period. Prices may change with reasonable advance notice.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, scrape, or redistribute Service content without permission;
• Share your account or resell access to the Service;
• Interfere with the Service's operation or security;
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its lessons, software, and branding, is owned by BBDF Consulting LTD or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other laws. Third-party media references (game titles, cover art, etc.) remain the property of their respective owners and are used for educational identification.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access the Service for personal, non-commercial use while your account is active.

7. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe pose a risk to the Service or other users.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee specific learning outcomes.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BBDF Consulting LTD will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of England and Wales, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
